Welcoming Communities Grey Bruce (WCGB) is launching Everyone Belongs in Grey-Bruce, a new regional pilot program designed to reduce social isolation and strengthen belonging for everyone who calls Grey and Bruce counties their home — long-term residents and newcomers alike.
This year-long initiative brings together people of all ages, cultures, and backgrounds through free, inclusive, and culturally rich community activities. More details about upcoming events will be shared in the coming weeks.

Over the next year, WCGB will host community events across Grey and Bruce Counties, bringing people together to share stories, learn about the land and each other, and build trust. Participants will include long-term residents, Indigenous community members, newcomers, youth, seniors, families, and community champions.
WCGB is also inviting community members and local organizations to join the Everyone Belongs in Grey-Bruce Advisory Committee. The Advisory Committee will help guide the project by:
- Sharing community priorities and lived experiences
- Advising on event design and locations
- Supporting inclusive outreach
- Helping ensure the project reflects diverse rural voices
This initiative is supported through funding from the Ontario Trillium Foundation, which helps build stronger, healthier, and more connected communities across Ontario.
Residents, community groups, service organizations, and informal community leaders are encouraged to get involved as participants, hosts, volunteers, or Advisory Committee members. Event dates and participation details will be shared in the coming weeks.
